An update.
I just heard back from Wright. Got put on the standby list, with a "high" ranking. Judging from my research, that is a good sign, just a matter of time. Don't like waiting, though.
Basically, as I was told, the standby list gets first crack once the interview process is done, then the remnants of that go on the alternate list. Hence, my chances are pretty good. :-)

What's wrong with those people? Don't they know how impatient I am????
You'll get it, my love. They'll tell you so soon. :-)
I know. :-) The numbers are on my side. :-)
Sounds good, friend!!! Your patience will pay off - hang in there! :D
Yippee!
Oy...
Another update.
Apparently, that's the letter Wright sends everybody they waitlist. The admissions secretary said I'd be middle-third of the list based on my scores, but if scores are all that matter, why the HELL do they do interviews?
*fuming and sad*
No *fuming and sad* allowed! Think of how much closer you are to your goal than you were three months ago. It's going to happen, future Dr. Tirithien! Think good thoughts and have patience (I almost wrote "patients" but I don't know if you would find it amusing at this time.) Good thoughts and prayers are being sent your way! x o x o
What if you don't get in?
Then I put that nice EKG certification to work ($18/hr), maybe pick up a phlebotomy technician's certificate, and try again for '07.
I still have a good deal of confidence in MUO, though. I got an interview in '04 with a weaker application, and ended up missing acceptance by two spots.
Where do those WSU bastards get off playing with people's heartstrings like that?
*righteous indignation*
MUO will come through. But I do wish they'd be a bit quicker about it.
I still have a good feeling about it. If it doesn't work out it's because there is somewhere else you are supposed to go.
I know the wait is killer though and the disappointment might be deep. Take heart, you'll excell no matter where you are.
